Urban Fantasy with a difference. We see more of PIya (this is volume 2 in the series) and the strange world of the East Asian supernaturals. Piya is an unlikely and charming heroine, she loves pets, she has dogs, tortoises, rabbits, and adopts a forest spirit. She also gets to know a tiger and help him out, Her magic gifts seem modest. but I suspect there is more going on than meets the eye. Who are her real parents? I feel there are surprises in store for her in the next books in the series. I am off to find out.
