Thank you for shopping at Celine Jeanjean Books! We’re thrilled to send our stories and bookish goodies your way. Below you’ll find all the details about how and when your order will arrive.

Processing Time

Orders are processed within 1–2 business days after payment is received. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a confirmation email with tracking information.

Please note that processing times may be longer if an item is temporarily out of stock or awaiting restock.

Preorders and Kickstarter items ship on the timelines listed on their product pages/updates.

Shipping Rates & Estimates

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and weight.

Books (and domestic orders):

USPS Media Mail — 3–7 business days (domestic U.S.)

International orders:

DHL eCommerce — 10–21 business days, depending on your location

Merchandise and Bookish Goodies:

Fulfilled and shipped directly by Printful, using their global carrier network and rates.

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may vary during holidays, customs processing, or unforeseen carrier delays.

Fulfillment

Most our book orders are packed and shipped by our fulfillment partner AMZ Prep, based in Illinois, USA.
Some are printed on demand, packed and shipped by Bookvault based in the UK.

Shipping & Rates

Shipping rates are automatically calculated at checkout based on total order weight and destination.

Orders over USD $99 qualify for free shipping.

There are no additional fees or surcharges beyond what you see at checkout.

We have successfully shipped to P.O. Boxes & APO Addresses in the past:

APO/FPO/DPO addresses all package sizes.
P.O. Boxes can receive single-book orders and small paper merchandise.

Bare in mind larger packages may exceed box capacity — if that happens, your package could be returned to us and we’ll contact you to arrange reshipment.

Please note that reshipping costs are the responsibility of the customer if an alternative address is required.

Therefore we do not recommend shipping to P.O. Boxes and APO Addresses.

Address Accuracy

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. Orders shipped to an incorrect address entered at purchase aren’t eligible for free replacement.

Tracking Your Order

Once your package is on its way, a tracking number will be sent automatically (when available - some carriers provide limited scans) via email.

You can use this to follow your order’s journey right to your door.

Delivery claims window: if your package hasn’t arrived, please contact me within 60 days of the tracking number being issued. After that window, carriers may recycle tracking numbers and I may be unable to assist.

Lost or Damaged Packages

If your order arrives damaged, or doesn’t arrive at all, please contact us within 14 days of delivery using our contact form or messaging system on our online store.
Include your order number and photos of the damaged package or item, and we’ll replace it promptly.
We do not require a signature on delivery.

I’ll replace at no cost if:

Tracking confirms the package was lost in transit (tracking not showing "Delivered")
The book has printing/binding defects
There’s significant damage affecting display (e.g., crushed corners, badly scuffed cover)

I can’t offer free replacements if:

The address provided at checkout was incorrect, fees weren’t paid, or the carrier returned it as undeliverable
There’s minor cosmetic wear that doesn’t affect readability/display (light edge wear, small surface scratches, slightly bent jacket)

International Duties, Taxes & Fees

Import taxes, brokerage fees, and VAT are not collected by me. These are charged (if applicable) by your country and paid to your local carrier/government.
Please check your country’s policies for books before ordering.
If a package is returned because fees weren’t paid or delivery was refused, original shipping isn’t refundable and a reship will require additional postage.

Gorgeous Journal!

This journal is absolutely gorgeous! I purchased it as a gift for my husband who has recently gotten into reading. The cover, the sprayed edges & interior artwork are all beautiful. There are plenty of different sections for challenges, reviews & keeping track of whom you loan books.

Ada Byron is a noble lady, but she is different than her peers. She wants more than just to be a wife, she loves science and math. But she also has a lack of understanding of anything emotional. Her father has always kept her from needing to be sent to an Institution, but her father has died and her mother is trying to marry her off and be rid of her. After visiting the Opera House, she decides to run away and work there while hiding from her family and the engagement her mother tricked her into. Eric Asher is a young man who has taken on the role of bread winner in his family after his mother has died and his father spends all his money on alcohol. His sister, Lily, has consumption and needs to be cared for in a sanatorium. Eric loves singing, but working in a club singing and swindling women isn't what he wants to do anymore. When he finds out there is an audition to train at the new opera house, he jumps on the chance. But will their chance at happiness be shattered by the curse of the Opera House?
The characters in this book are definitely complex. Ada is what people consider different in the time this book was written to be in. She knew it and while she embraced herself, she managed to find a way to blend in with her high society "peers". She is an independent person and hard working. Eric is a young man who takes advantage of women and uses his looks and charm to get money to take care of his sister. Even though he has some loose morals, his heart is in the right place. His character also goes through some development in this book as well. Then we have Marian, the reclusive and never seen owner of the Opera House. She seems at first as very philanthropic but when jealousy strikes she becomes someone else.
I have never read or seen any version of Phantom of the Opera (I know I know), so I am not sure how true to the original this is. But I love the way this opera house reminds me of the Chicago Murder House and the way the author uses the mirrors is very interesting. The world building was wonderful and I loved all the Gaslamp elements as well. It was a bit spooky and had the perfect amount of tension. When I started the book, I was unsure how I was going to feel about this book, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book. Once it got going, I was definitely pulled in. I know there is a sequel in the works and I am looking forward to that.
