Join me on a perilous hunt through Brittany, France, as I chase an ancient deity's missing son, armed with nothing but moxy and a hint of French – no garlic included.

I’m freshly back from a date with a hot werewolf when an ancient Celtic goddess comes to me with an unusual request. Her son, Darkness, had gone missing. His disappearance has to stay under wraps, and somehow, I’ve been chosen to track him down.

Which is how I wind up in a blood-soaked house in Brittany, in the dead of night. Out of my depth doesn't even begin to cover it. I'm clueless about the local language, the type of magic at play, and most importantly, about Darkness. Basically, I'm stumbling around like a lost fish in a desert.

But dark magic is festering in the shadows of this eerie house. If I can't find Darkness and bring him back to rein it in, this malevolent force will escape into the world. Lives are at stake, including those of the people I love. So here I am, diving headfirst into the unknown, where any mistake could be a misstep into darkness.

Grab your garlic and forget the French dictionary as you dive into this adventure with me. We’ll tackle ancient magical beings, decipher blood-stained clues, and maybe even learn a bit of French along the way – croissant, anyone?

Customers praised this fantasy ebook as "non-stop action" with darker themes than previous series installments. Readers loved the character development, particularly Pree's growth and anti-magic powers. Set in Brittany, France, the story features cross-series characters and complex plotlines. Some found it challenging to connect with characters due to unfamiliar settings.

Priscilla visits the Pink Granite Coast in Brittanny, France. The rocks really are pink and the villages are pretty, as you cn see from the pictures, but there is dark magic here, and Priscilla's anti-magic doesn't work so well. This is the book where she has to growsup, and take responsibility for herself and her friends. She also gets to date a very attractive werewolf! I have read all three of Priscilla;s adventures, and this one has taken her story to another level. I look forward to more.

This was a great book. I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I started this book, but it was non-stop action until the end. This is more a fairy tale than a romance. That doesn’t mean it’s not fun and sweet—it is. But there is little “romance” in that the main character, Pree, is on a date with a hot werewolf.
If you like it check the older ones of London's Edge Chronicles.

I love this series! There was even some cross series characters paying a visit in this one! It was a little darker (pun intended) than the normal books by the author. I love that various other magic worlds are being exposed. I am slight concerned as Darkness seems to have aspirations of some sort that we do not know about.

Priscilla finally got the first date with the hot werewolf. Later whilst walking her 'dog' she is accosted by Carman the Celtic goddess and mother of Darkness, Evil, and Violence. She sends Pree to Brittany to find her son, Darkness who has gone missing. Pree has to learn another language plus customs of a foreign country. She meets more magical 'people' and becomes involved in scary magical scenarios.
Very exciting with unexpected turnings.i love Celine's books and would recommend them to all readers.

Loved this book! The character of Pricilla finally has development and growth, great description of her powers, nice to have Apiya and Sarroch in the mix as well. Love the new character of An Duadur. Can't wait for the next installment!

Wow what a great book, I just couldn’t put it down. Celine really does know how to bring you into her world of fantasy and romance. Do yourself a favor and get a copy.!!!

I really enjoyed the book. Loved that we learned more about Pree’s anti-magic and that she is getting more familiar with it, and learning how to “use” it! And as I loved the Apiya books as well, I was very happy that she made an appearance - together with Sarroch. And I always love it when Penelope whoops! The story was also very interesting, complicated plotlines and excitement. And I googled galette complete, and now I definitely have to try it! Recommend it for anyone who loves fantasies.

Fascinating to watch Pree develop as a character. At the beginning of the series, she has a responsibility phobia, but by the time she comes into this book, she's the head of a faction and will go to any lengths to keep her friends and family safe.

Which is tested many times throughout the course of this book. Jeanjean doesn't go easy on poor Priscilla at any point, and I was rooting for her the entire way.

Darker themes than the previous books in this series, but no less entertaining and heartfelt. Very curious to see where she goes from here.

I received a copy of this book for review consideration.

Wow! This third book in the series is even more amazing that the others, and I loved them too.

Dark magic is afoot in Brittany and Pree is feeling way over her head, as she discovers something about her own powers that she didn't expect.

Pree is such a lovable character and her werewolf friend or more sounds super hot.

This book is a tad darker than the previous books and really has Pree searching herself and learning more about her capabilities and the limits to her "anti-magic".

Wonderful book and the descriptions of the setting of Brittany, has made me want to visit there myself, but without the dark magic, as I don't have any anti-magic.

I highly recommend this book! It is awesome!

An interesting book that reads and feels very different from everything else I've read. The story continues for some time after the climax. Just when you think it's done, nope! That was just the climax of the action, not the story.
Again, as with the other books in this series, I have trouble connecting with the characters. I have nothing in common with Priscilla. I'm an overweight, middle aged, white, American male that dresses in khakis and Mtn Dew tshirts. I'm not familiar with the locals or the accents or the food or the slang.
All that said, the author does an admirable job describing things and I did eventually "feel" the book.
I may not reread these books but I am looking forward to the next one in the series.

This is the third book in the series, and I really like where the story is going. Both in that we get to see new sides of Pree, who is experiencing a whole new set of challenges, but also because we're learning more about Pree's anti-magic, which opens up so many possibilities for future adventures - and makes Pree's abilities much more interesting, I find.
We don't get to hear so much from Pree's friends and faction members, so that's something to look forward to coming back to, hopefully, in book number four.
Oh, and Brittany is playing a major role as well, which is fun, because it is rather distinct from the series's usual setting in London.
All in all a very enjoyable read that also manages to both take us deeper into Pree's world and also to open up space for the series to go next.
