A funny story full of adventures that made me enjoy it from the start till the end. If you enjoyed the Viper and the Urchin stories you'll enjoy this one too and be on your toes waiting the next installment.

This is such a great installment!
Fun, fast paced read. So fun that I couldn't put it down and finished it way too quickly. This time, my favourite supporting characters are back. Apiya learns about her origins. We find out about Sarroch's true love, and greatest sin. Chai is back in all his glory, and we get a glimpse at his serious side. Yue continues to brew trouble, and we find out more about the fractured world of the Mayak. Will it end well? Read the book.
This series has been a really fun read for me. If you enjoy this, Celine also has another series called the 'Viper and the Urchin' which is also a lot of fun. If you just want a taste, her website has free shorts to get you started.

The next exciting episode of Apiya's adventure with the magical Mayaks
In this 4th episode of Apiya's story the magical Mayaks are increasingly keen to make war against the Mundanes, but her problems are closer to home when she encounters the evil Yue once more. Tim the cat comes to the rescue, despite the antipathy between them. The relationship between Apiya and the handsome Sarroch becomes more complex as she learns more about his personal history. Meanwhile good friend, Chai helps her to follow up a possible lead to her birth mother.
This is a particularly eventful, thrilling episode but as always I find these stories far too short. It is good that we usually don't have to wait long for the next in the series.
